Disassemble - Corolla Timing Belt and Radiator


That is what the engine look like in the beginning

   Lawrence tried to take out the altenator.

That what the altenator look like, so you can swing it around.

That is what the cover of the timing belt that need to take out.

  Lawrence taking out the bolt from the valve cover.

He tried to lift the valve cover but it was too tight.

Daddy using a piece of wood to pry and lift the valve a bit.

we managed to get the cover of the timing belt out after lifting the valve cover a bit

This was the timing belt look like. Look kind of old with the teeth mark on outside.

Notice that there is a "o" on the cog of the timing belt which represents when the timing belt is lined up with the top dead center (TDC) of no. 1 piston. 

He is trying to loosen the engine mount.

Daddy put extra mark on edge of timing pulley for TDC.

     Turn the crank shaft shaft pulley bolt to line up the timing belt.
